After the open call in Autumn 2012 for the newly installed price honouring the work of independant art initiatives and project spaces this month is the handover to seven selected art initiatives. We perceive this price as a first step in making visible the artistic and cultural work developed by art initiatives working interdisciplinary, process oriented and have a critical view on current political issues and the art system itself. Besides the fact that the Netzwerk unabhängiger Projekträume und Kunstinitiativen Berlin in which arttransponder is initiator and active member tried to reach a more specific funding we are happy that finally our work is now perceived on a larger scale.

INTERACTIVE MAP OF ART INITIATIVE AND PROJECT SPACES NOW ONLINE!

 

We like to introduce the  interactive Map developed by Séverine Marguin in the framework of her research focussing art collectives. The map geolocalizes initiatives from 1970 on with opening and closing dates and is constantly updated.
